I'm having a great time here at C3. Hanging with my staff and the entire team at Church on the Move has been thru the roof. Tons of fun.
Each session amazing men and woman of God take the stage, tell their story, share a nugget or two of truth. It's incredible. However, as I sit and listen to these generals of the gospel, I begin to realize, they are no different than me.
Here is what I mean by that.
The speaker came from humble beginnings.....so do I.
The speaker loves Jesus ...so do I.
The speaker has to learn from his mistakes ... so do I.
The speaker has a call of God on his life ...so do I.
The speaker has unique gifts and talents, given to him by God...so do I.
As I sit in my chair, looking up at this amazing speaker, pastor, that is experiencing God's grace and growth, it is hitting me ....he is no different than me.
And you know what he is no different than you. Sometimes we feel like what God is doing thru these giants of the faith, he could never do thru us and you know what ...we are wrong.
God is no respecter of person.
God is not willing that any should perish.
That is why God has made you who you are and placed you where you are.
He wants to do amazing exploits thru you.
Here's something I think we should try.
Lets not honor our humble beginnings, love Jesus with all our heart, learn from our mistakes and use our unique giftings to fulfill the call God has placed on our life.
We'll be glad we did.
